We are thrilled to offer this very rare and extremely rapid, 33,000 mile, VXR8 GTS which now produces 760bhp.
The Vauxhall VXR8 was marketed and distributed in the UK by Vauxhall between 2007 and 2017. Based on the Holden HSV cars produced within the same group these have always been rare cars in the UK and competed at the time with the likes of the BMW M5 and Audi RS6, albeit in a very different way. The earlier cars had the 6l and 6.2l normally aspirated V8s shared with the Chevrolet Corvette and Camaro, but the later cars were equipped with a supercharged version of the same engine and produced substantially more power. The GTS version of the VXR8 was introduced in 2013 with 577bhp as standard and was the seen as the spiritual successor to the revered Lotus Carlton. Production ceased in 2017 as Holden factories in Australia were closed.
These cars gained rave reviews by the press at the time. They were unanimously praised for their power, the noise they made, their playful handling and their character. They were and continue to be seen as a hugely entertaining and alternative choice to the ubiquitous German super saloons and have developed a real cult following.
The car we are delighted to offer comes from the end of VXR8 production and has been modified by renowned VXR8 specialists Walkinshaw Performance who oversaw a £30,000 stage 4 performance upgrade taking it to a very healthy 760bhp. The work included:

High flow injectors
Uprated supercharger pully
Upgraded cooling
In addition the car benefits from an upgraded stereo and navigation system and has been treated by its owner to a ceramic paintwork protection.
The car has a good service history and will be freshly MOT'd and serviced as part of the sale. It has been professionally stored with us for the last 3 years and lightly used by the current owner during that time for special occasions. It is his pride and joy and he is only selling as he is no longer able to use the car as it deserves to be used, so is very keen that it goes to an equally passionate new owner.
A very rare sight here in the UK, this unique and very special car is a reminder of the way supersaloons used to be designed...large capacity V8 engines, lots of power, rear wheel drive, fabulous handling and muscular styling. It is a cliche, but they just don't make them like this anymore.
